Foseco-Morval produces the highest
quality patterns available to the industry, specializing in
complex geometries and multiple segment patterns. Molding and
assembly equipment used by Foseco is self-designed to meet the
unique and challenging requirements of the lost foam foundry
industry. Patterns can be produced from any of the polymers
available to the industry, including Foseco’s own PROBEAD
range of copolymers for ferrous casting. For castings
requiring superior surface finishes, patterns can be produced
using Foseco’s Ventless tooling technology. Control of pattern
dimensions is verified with the latest in measurement
technology.
PROBEAD:
Foseco’s PROBEAD products are
copolymer materials specifically designed for the lost foam
foundry industry. This line is available as a molded pattern,
or as a raw bead material for foundries producing their own
patterns. It is specifically designed to maintain excellent
molding characteristics, while reducing carbon defects in
ferrous castings.
Lost Foam Coatings:
Foseco has a
full range of STYROMOL coatings for the lost foam casting
industry. The coatings are designed for specific insulation
and permeability characteristics to ensure optimum performance
for the foundry. STYROMOL coatings have consistent physical
properties and are highly resistant to biodegradation.
Engineering Services:
Foseco-Morval
can assist foundries and end-users in optimizing part designs
to take full advantage of the lost foam process. Active
participation in all phases of product planning and start-up
