The Direct Squeeze Forming Process

Tim Greenaway from GKN Squeeze form gave a presentation “The Direct Squeeze Forming Process”

Tim outlined his Company and the products, he gave a few examples of the product they Squeeze form. These include wheels for Warrior Tanks, parts for Land Rover and many others. The Company employs over 40,000 worldwide.

Tim went on to explain the process of Squeeze forming and the practical uses it has in increasing strength and casting integrity.

After an excellent presentation Tim was bombarded with a serious of questions on the process and he came away from the Branch with some food for thought for future trials.

George Beattie gave the vote of thanks and the IBF Scottish Branch sponsored the meeting.
