A leading German iron and aluminium foundry is now ready to meet the future needs of its customers thanks to a successful collaboration with Foseco GmbH.

Metal Technologies Kitzingen GmbH (MTK) has extended its moulding plant IV by taking delivery of a new MSI 900 Type 68E from Foseco. The MSI (Metal Stream Inoculation) 900 System is an automatic inoculation system for mechanised and automatic casting plants and is used for treating flake, nodular and compacted graphite.

Horst Deinat, Head of MTK iron foundry, commented: "Due to this successful extension of our moulding plant we can now meet the high quality demands of our customers in the future."

MTK became part of the MTI Group (Metal Technologies Inc., USA) in July 2005. The foundry’s main focus is on dynamically balanced parts and parts for chassis and engines. These are sold to the automotive industry to customers such as ZF, Daimler and the Schaeffer Group.

Hand-Gerd Erger, Head of Sales, Foseco Germany added: "Our co-operation with MTK highlights our company philosophy: on the basis of the continuous know-how transfer between our specialists and our customers we contribute to a large extent to maintaining process and improving quality to the foundry market in Germany.”

This is the 250th device of this type to be successfully produced and sold by Foseco GmbH, Germany.
