I am pleased to announce that on 4 April 2008 Foseco plc was acquired by the UK company, Cookson Group Plc.  While the Cookson name may not be familiar to you, they have been heavily involved in the molten metal industries, trading under the well-known name, “Vesuvius”.

Foseco will continue to serve the foundry industry worldwide, as we have done for the past 75 years, and the offering will now be enhanced by the inclusion of the Vesuvius product portfolio for foundries. 
 
Combining existing Foseco foundry resources with those of the Vesuvius foundry organisation will form the new foundry business unit.  This will lead to a broader product offering and the introduction of new technology while the dedicated customer-focus of the existing businesses will continue as before, unchanged.

We will continue to provide:
