Euroguss ’06 was held in Nuremberg in March, provided the perfect platform for innovative Foseco products and processes.

The new MTS 1500 process was one of the Foseco developments on show that optimise process-controlled melt treatment and monitoring. Based on FDU rotary
degassing technology it has the additional capability of injecting a range of metal treatment products, using a unique vortex system for efficient mixing and hydrogen removal. A new range of fluxes complements the MTS 1500 system and covers
principal foundry operations such as cleaning, drossing, modification and grain refinement.

Also on view at EUROGUSS was an electrochemical hydrogen sensor which can provide single and continuous evaluation of the hydrogen content in aluminium melts.
