Foseco sponsored the Poster session at this year’s World Foundry Congress (WFC), held in June at Harrogate in the UK.

The event was attended by delegates from around the world, with 90 technical papers presented and 35 papers on display at the Poster session.  Three papers were presented by Foseco at the Congress covering filtration, coldbox binders and hydrogen concentrations in aluminium.  The theme for the Technical Forum was ‘Optimising the added value chain in foundries’, and Foseco Foundry Chief Executive David Hussey contributed a presentation entitled ‘The evolution of a supplier to meet the changing demands of the market’.

Foseco had a stand at the concurrent Foundry, Furnaces and Castings Exhibition, Expo 06, which focused on innovation and solutions to the foundry industry by improving quality and reducing costs.  Visitors to the stand had a chance to win a personalised World Cup memorabilia book by guessing the winning team of the 2006 World Cup.
