Foseco’s presence at the recent GIFA exhibition attracted astonishing crowds and generated a wealth of new business leads for the company. Held every four years, GIFA is the largest foundry exhibition in the world. This year saw more than 77,000 trade visitors from all parts of the world travel to Düsseldorf to attend the show that was held from June 12th – 16th. 

Under the theme of ‘Committed to Foundries’, Foseco’s exhibits were displayed on an eye catching 806 sq m stand, divided into three main areas focussing on ferrous, non-ferrous and mould & core solutions.  All exhibits focused on providing solutions for the foundry, and were supported by customer related case studies covering areas such as quality, productivity, yield improvement and energy efficiency.

We also co-hosted a joint stand with software specialists Magma. Entitled ‘Casting Competence Centre’ (C3) the team highlighted the benefits to the foundry industry that our strategic alliance delivers.

Consistently one of the busiest stands at the show Foseco made a significant impression with all visitors that came to the stand, including the financial market analysts that flew out especially from the UK. 

Foseco was also a key sponsor of the World Foundry Congress, presenting two technical lectures at the Congress and a further two at the Lost Foam Council.

Our most powerful strength was the enthusiasm and determination of the local and international Foseco team based on the stand. David Hussey, Chief Executive said: “My compliments and thanks to the entire GIFA organisation team and everyone else involved, for a job extremely well done. The style, content and professionalism of the stand set us successfully and distinctively apart from the competition.”
