The transfer of molten metal between the melting furnace and moulds involves the use of refractory lined vessels called ladles. These can be lined with products of low thermal mass and high insulating properties to minimise metal heat loss and ladle lining erosion, extend the lining’s life and reduce the pick-up of refractory inclusions.
Our insulating preformed linings and shapes (case studies 3 & 5) are available in single one-piece form and as component boards for on-site installation. |
